UPC Direct has placed its UPC Direct Now app on smart TVs manufactured by LG or running the Android operating system.
The Hungarian DTH platform – now owned by Canal Plus – offers 82 online channels.
The UPC Direct Now application can be downloaded from the LG Content Store and from Google Play for the Android TVs. Subscribers can view the app on up to 5 different devices that also include laptops, smart phones and tablets.
Each family member can set up their own profile, so that they see only their own history. There is also restart and catchup functionality.
In Hungary, the UPC Direct Now app is also available on smart TVs produced by Samsung, Panasonic and Vestel.
