Poland’s leading cable operator Vectra has announced the launch of two completely new services.
The first, known as TV Smart, is offered with an Android TV box and gives access to traditional TV channels, including some in 4K, a large VOD library, streaming services, music and thousands of apps and services from Google Play. It is available to anyone with an internet connection. The second, Smart Multiroom, is aimed at Vectra’s digital subscribers and includes a new Android TV box that can be connected to a second or third TV in the home. Smart functions are also available on older generation receivers and give access to nearly 200 TV channels, various applications, OTT services and other decoder functions.
According to Vectra’s CEO Tomasz Zuranski, “2020 is a milestone for the Vectra Group. We are currently the largest cable TV operator in Poland. We also pursue our ambitions in the area of provided services – from October 1 this year, as the first cable operator in Poland and one of the few in Europe, we offer our customers a 4K decoder based on Android TV. In this way, we connected the world of traditional television with the world of the Internet, rich in multimedia content. Our new logo is an expression of how we are changing and what we want to be in the future. Listening to the voice of our customers, we want to jointly create convenient and easy-to-use solutions with access to attractive content and entertainment, not only at home but also outside – wherever there is the internet”.
