Virgin Media Ireland has launched a new connected TV platform as a replacement for the previous Horizon units.
Virgin TV 360 will be present across all screens and is backed by new functionality including Voice Search and Control, an updated user interface, online video apps from such as Netflix, YouTube, amongst others, Catch Up functionality, Box Sets, movies and recordings.

Subscribers can enjoy TV throughout their homes from one of the new 4K-ready Virgin TV 360, Mini box, or on the move with the dedicated Virgin TV Anywhere app
The updated set-top features voice search and voice control, the ability to create create individual Profiles with personalised recommendations, a new startover feature available on all major channels and the ability to record six channels while watching a 7th.
The Virgin TV 360 box is described as the company’s most environmentally-friendly set top box to date with a 64% reduction in energy consumption over the previous Horizon set top box and its packaging is made from 100% recycled material from source.
