The Serbian incumbent has said that it faces “continuous attacks” and a “most brutal campaign”.
In a statement published by Beta, it adds that the goal of these attacks is to strengthen one foreign company in which it is in direct competition with.
The statement goes on to say that “all attempts to collapse Telekom Srbija will not succeed, because the company will implement its development strategy even more decisively”.
The telco also said its goal is to become a regional leader and an engine of economic development in the region.
Broadband TV News believes Telekom Srbija is referring to United Group, whose interests in Serbia include Serbia Broadband (SBB) and the news channel N1.
Earlier this year Telekom Srbija and the United Group subsidiary United Media were involved in what was described as a “cable war” between the two parties.
