The Russian media entrepreneur Ivan Tavrin has raised $250 million in an IPO on NASDAQ.
Quoting RBK, ComNews reports that this was done through Kismet Acquisition One Corp, which is a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC), and the funds will be used for future M&As.
Tavrin had previously planned to hold an IPO on the London Stock Exchange to raise $200 million in February 2018 but this failed to materialise.
His assets currently include a number of TV channels, including Muz-TV and Disney services operating as joint ventures in Russia, under the Media-1 holding.
