German DTT platform Freenet TV has added entertainment channel Comedy Central HD to its DVB-T2 offer.
With the latest addition, the line-up comprises a total of 21 commercial HD channels. Comedy Central HD occupies previously unused capacity, as a spokesman of Freenet TV operating company Media Broadcast told Broadband TV News.
“With Comedy Central HD we have the perfect partner to offer our Freenet TV viewers even more programme choice. With this genre, we are ideally complementing the selection of existing general interest services and thematic channels from the areas of news, children, sport or music,” said Francie Petrick, head of Freenet TV at Media Broadcast.
Comedy Central HD has already been part of the hybrid offer Freenet TV Connect, which brings more channels and apps to the screens via the internet. The channel remains available on the streaming service, according to the Media Broadcast spokesman.
