Slovakia’s Joj Media Group had record revenues of over €200 million for its media activities in 2019.
This, reports Medialne, was 4.3% higher than a year earlier.
At the same time EBITDA amounted to €27.6 million and the group’s total loss was over €8 million, due mostly to old loans.
Joj was active on the acquisition front last year, buying three channels from the Czechoslovak Film Society that it subsequently rebranded CS Horror, CS History and CS Mystery.
The group is one of the leading broadcasters in its home market Slovakia and besides the Czech Republic also has a media presence in Austria and Croatia.
