The Romanian online platform Trilulilu has been acquired by a group of people from the city of Cluj for an undisclosed fee.
Ziarul Financiar reports that they include Alex Rus and Daniel Tamas, the founders of the company Digitap, and the local journalist and entrepreneur Mihai Moga.
It adds that Trilulilu is the leading video, image and audio sharing platform in Romania.
Founded in January 2007 by Sergiu Biris and Andrei Dunca, it has more user-generated content (UGC) than any other service in the country, with 1.4 million registered users and over 600,000 Facebook fans.
Broadband TV News notes that Trilulilu has been on the market since early 2019.
