A+E Networks factual entertainment channel History2 is to launch on Magyar Telekom.
The deals gives History2 another 800,000 homes on Magyar’s cable and DTH satellite networks across Hungary. Already, sister channel History has distribution with Magyar Telekom.
“Its sister channel History2 gained significant market share in the last 12 months in Hungary and we feel localised History2 will offer even more fascinating programmes to explore world’s biggest mysteries,” said Izabella Wiley, General Manager, Central & Eastern Europe, A+E Networks CEE
“At Magyar Telekom we are looking for various ways to improve our programming line-up to our customers. v strengthens factual and entertainment offering and we are sure it will meet with enthusiastic reception from our subscribers,” added Rajki Annamária, TV and Entertainment Director, Magyar Telekom.
History2, which is localised in Hungarian, will be available on Magyar Telekom’s Szuper Családi HD (Super Family HD) and Szuper Családi Mozi (Super Family Cinema) packages.
Among the programming is History 101 made up by a collection of documentaries on top inventions, objects, fast foods and weapons that changed the world; Holocaust Memorial Day special that commemorates the 75th anniversary of Nazi German Auschwitz camp liberation along with country’s premiere of shows like The Tesla Files that puts the brilliant inventor’s ideas covered in the recently declassified CIA files to test and Life After People that portrays the world without us, humans.
