Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat has announced that its subsidiary Polkomtel has withdrawn from an agreement with Huawei Polska.
The agreement, concluded on June 23,2016, was for the implementation of the BES IT system and provision of software assistance.
Cyfrowy Polsat adds that one of the reasons for the withdrawal was Huawei’s failure to complete the project during 18 months. It is now 41 months since the deal was signed and the date for the implementation has not been met despite having signed the extending annex.
It adds that Polkomtel has informed Huawei that it intends to submit claims related to the refund of mutually fulfilled services Failure to meet these claims will result in the initiation of procedures for calling on the bank guarantee and recovery of liabilities.
