M6 Group has completed the acquisition of the share capital of companies that make up Lagardère’s Television Business.
The deal includes Gulli, France’s leading free-to-air digital channel for children; Canal J, the pay-TV channel targeting viewers 6 to 12; and Tiji, aimed at younger children aged 3 to 6.
In a statement the Group said it was delighted with the completion of the transaction that would strengthen its overall position in the French media market.
The Group will be included in financial statements from September 1.
