Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat gained over half a million RGUs in the year to June 30.
The latest results published by the company show that it ended Q2 with 14.45 million contracted services, or 4% more than the 13.93 million total in the corresponding period last year.
Pay-TV RGUs increased by 31,000 year-on-year thanks to the multiroom and paid OTT effect.
The company’s multiplay strategy resulted in ARPU increasing by 0.6% year-on-year in Q2 to PLN83.4 (€19 million).
Although the company’s pre-paid services total fell from 2.77 million in Q2 2018 to 2.62 million in the second quarter this year, ARPU rose from PLN20.4 to PLN20.8.
The Polsat Group as a whole had revenues of PLN2,913 million in Q2, up 11.9% on a year earlier.
EBITDA was PLN959.9 million (+1.4%) and net profit PLN270.1 million (+16.7%).
