The Ukrainian regulator National Council has renewed the DTT licence held by Zeonbud.
In a statement, it says that this is due to Zeonbud promising to increase the number of transmitters employed by the first multiplex MX-1 in 14 settlements in the Volyn, Transcarpathian, Ivano-Frankivsk and Luhansk regions.
Commenting on the issue, the National Council’s secretary general Alexander Ilyashenko said that the regulator had been working on it for some time and made a lot of efforts to make these changes happen.
He added that Zeonbud would have enough time, not more than a year, to install the transmitters.
The National Council will meanwhile ask the users of MX-1 to change their contracts with Zeonbud.
