Poland will see the launch of a new medical and health-oriented channel on August 27.
According to Satkurier, StudioMed TV will be operated by IdeaBroadcasting, which is jointly owned by Domink Tzimas and the company Medicover and obtained a 10-year satellite licence from the National Broadcasting Council (KRRiT) on July 18.
StudioMed TV will initially be distributed by the DTH platform nc+ and telco JMDI, with the former offering it to its subscribers from the launch date.
The channel will be funded chiefly by subscription fees from operators but will also carry advertising.
