Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat has decided to challenge a decision by the Malopolska Tax Office in Kraków.
It relates to the company’s tax liability from uncollected withholding corporate income tax in 2013, with the amount increased by interest on tax arrears to PLN25.1 million (€5.8 million).
In a statement, Cyfrowy Polsat says the Tax Authority challenged its right to an exemption from the obligation to withhold income tax on certain payments effected in 2013. The company concludes by saying that the decision is neither final nor enforceable.
It will appeal against the decision and does not intend to establish at the moment any provisions encumbering its financial result.
