Vodafone Romania will have a new executive team in place on August 1.
Ziarul Financiar reports that it will include Mostafa El Beltagy and Mihnea Radulescu, who will be named the consumer business unit director and business unit director respectively.
El Beltagy has been Vodafone Romania’s consumer business unit director since March 2018 and will head the same unit in the combined Vodafone/UPC Romania operation, while Radulescu has until now been CEO of UPC Romania. Both will report to Murielle Lorilloux, CEO of Vodafone Romania.
Vodafone’s acquisition of Romania is expected to be completed on August 1 and until then the two companies will continue to operate as separate and competing entities.
Meanwhile, Vodafone Romania’s revenues in Q2, under new accounting standards, were 2.7% lower than in the same period last year.
Its customer base grew by 164,122 in the year to reach 9,802,608.
