German media company Constantin Medien will adopt the new name Sport1 Medien on January 1, 2020.
The shareholders agreed to the corresponding proposal of the management board and supervisory board with a large majority at the annual general meeting of the company.
The new name reflects the focus on sports as the corporate strategy, according to a statement.
“Our passion for sport is the focus of our thoughts and actions. This is what we want to express with the new name Sport1 Medien AG,” said Olaf G. Schröder, CEO of Constantin Medien.
