The number of pay-TV connections in Montenegro stood at 224,997 at the end of April, according to the country’s Agency for Electronic Media (AEM).
This was 15.5% higher than the number of households in Montenegro, or the number of connections pertaining to individuals was 11.57% higher than the number of households.
As of the end of 2018 there were 218,133 pay-TV connections, while two months later the figure had risen to 219,448. AEM estimates that as of the end of April approximately 15,000 households, or around 7.5% of the total, still used only FTA TV services.
Basic packages at the end of April averaged 85 TV channels and cost on average €10.49. Seven operators offered, on average, six additional packages, with the average price of these packages being €6.03.
The best selling of these packages were HBO, Pink and Arena.
