Marc Puskaric has been appointed the new CEO of RTL Croatia, effective July 1.
Currently MD of Bertelsmann Brazil Investments and the Bertelsmann Corporate Center in Brazil, he will succeed Henning Tewes, who will join, as recently announced, Mediengruppe RTL Deutschland as COO programme affairs & multichannel. In his new role, Puskaric will report to Andreas Fischer, chairman of the supervisory board of RTL Croatia and senior VP (SVP) global operations management broadcast and content of RTL Group. He will also become a member of RTL Group’s Operations Management Committee (OMC).
Commenting on the appointment, Fischer said: “Marc Puskaric combines broad international experience with cultural affinity to Croatia. I am delighted that we have found such a dynamic executive from within the Bertelsmann Group to lead RTL Croatia. Together with the strong management team of RTL Croatia, he will continue the success of the company. I warmly welcome Marc to his new role and wish him all the best – and I am very much looking forward to working with him on further strengthening the market position of RTL Croatia.”
He added: “I would like to express deep gratitude to Henning Tewes, who has successfully led RTL Croatia for the past five years. Henning made RTL Croatia sustainably profitable, expanded the family of channels and significantly boosted creativity across all business activities. Under his leadership, RTL Croatia has shaped the digital market in Croatia and with the launch of RTL Play, he has positioned RTL Croatia as a first mover in video on demand.”
Puskaric started his professional career at Bertelsmann as corporate legal counsel. From 2007 to 2015, he was senior VP corporate legal at Bertelsmann, where he was responsible for advising M&A and operational transactions in the US, Latin America, Europe and Asia and for supporting the set-up of the corporate investment activities in India and Brazil.
RTL Croatia was founded in 2004 and on April 15 celebrates its 15th anniversary in Zagreb.
