Details have emerged of a reorganisation of some Sky and NBC activities following the takeover of the European broadcaster.
On Friday two emails were sent to staff from Sky CEO Jeremy Darroch and by Kevin MacLellan, NBCU’s chairman of global distribution and international. They detail four key plans for staff and channels.
Under the plans NBU’s pay-TV channels such as Universal Channel will be part of the same portfolio as Sky’s and move to Sky’s West London base at Osterley.
NBCUniversal’s Europe, Middle East and Africa Networks London-based team will also move to the Osterley Campus.
In Germany, NBCUniversal channel distribution will head to Sky’s facilities at Unterföhring, Bavaria
Meanwhile, Sky Vision, which handles programme sales and distribution will come under NBCUniversal’s distribution business.
