The audiovisual service company Panaccess plans to extend the DTH platform Pantelio, currently present in Slovakia, to neighbouring Czech Republic in May.
Speaking exclusively to Broadband TV News at the Hispasat Innovation Days conference in London, Roland Schlichting, the company’s CEO, added that it is also looking at the possibility of expanding to Hungary, perhaps next year.
In addition, he said that Panaccess plans to adopt the same DTH business model it is using in Europe throughout Latin America, where it will initially launch a platform in Chile, working in partnership with the public broadcaster TVN.
Schlichting also said that Panaccess is behind Fotelka, a new DTH platform which, as previously reported by Broadband TV News, will shortly launch in the Czech Republic and Slovakia.
Pantelio is distributed by Hispasat from 30 degrees West and currently has just over 1,000 subscribers in Slovakia.
