Verimatrix has confirmed its entered an exclusive agreement that will see Inside Secure purchase the security company for $143 million, funded by a mix of cash, debt and equity.
The merged entity will stretch from end-to-end security solutions into the IoT and connected car markets through to online television distribution.
Inside Secure, which has specialised in mobile and connected devices, has worked with HBO, BBC and Sky.
The equity financing is being backed by One Equity Partners, the technology specialist that is also a shareholder in Ericsson spinoff Mediakind.

The combined entities would have generated $119 million in adjusted revenue and $21.5 million in EBITDA in 2017 on an IFRS pro forma basis.
