Telefónica saw across the board subscriber growth in its home market Spain in the third quarter.
The latest results published by the company show that it gained 81,000 Fusion customers in Q3, an eightfold increase year-on-year. It also gained 79,000 FBB customers (c.s.), 101,000 receiving TV (+1%) and 155,000 FTTH (x1.6), while mobile contact adds amounted to 370,000 (x1.6) and NEBA fibre 151,000 (14%).
Telefónica notes that it posted the best FBB net adds since Fusion was launched in Q4 2012. Moreover, the high-end base of Fusion added more customers in Q3 than Q2 (accounting for 29% of gross adds, compared to 27%).

The total number of FTTH premises passed stood at 20.8 million.
Telefónica says that “this intense commercial activity is primarily related to high-value customers as a result of our differential value offer in the start of the football season under a new competitive scenario”.
