Swiss cable operator association Quickline has formed a cooperation with Netflix: As a first step, new internet customers will receive the streaming service free of charge for one year.
“We are proud that, as a relatively small provider, we were able to enter a cooperation with such an important company as Netflix. Given the size of the company, this is not a matter of course,” said Frédéric Goetschmann, CEO of Quickline.
The campaign applies to new customers who sign up for an internet access subscription for the first time between October 17 and December 31, 2018. Existing Netflix customers will be credited the value on their Netflix subscription.
The Netflix gift resembles a value of CHF190.80 (€167) [12 months Netflix standard (HD) at CHF15.90 per month].
As the next step, Quickline wants to introduce a TV product incorporating Netflix.
Quickline comprises 23 independent network operators serving a total of around 400,000 households. The network is the third largest TV provider and the fourth largest internet and telephony provider in Switzerland.
