Vewd and iVideoSmart launch 100 apps in 100 days

October 15, 2018 10.10 Europe/London By Robert Briel

MIPCOM 2018 – CANNES. Vewd has announced that iVideoSmart have jointly launched more than a 100 new Vewd certified apps.

Independent premium video publisher in South East Asia, iVideoSmart, boosts partners such as GMA, Yan News, Cinemania, Bounty Films, Adagio. And through iVideoSmart’s collaboration with VideoElephant, Automoto TV, the LA Times, Hollywood Reporter and more are coming through.

This milestone comes just three months after iVideoSmart integrated Vewd Snap, which creates apps that work seamlessly across all Vewd-enabled devices. Since then, content owners have embraced iVideoSmart’s turnkey solution because it provides quick and easy access to the world’s largest connected TV ecosystem – nearly 50 million Vewd-enabled devices ship each year in more than 150 countries.

“In three short months after we announced our partnership, we see content owners from every corner of the globe choosing iVideoSmart and Vewd,” said Vincent Martin, Chief Operating Officer, iVideoSmart.

“Working together, we have removed much of the difficulty and complexity in expanding reach and increasing viewership of smart TV apps. Our Partners are all about premium reach and together with Vewd we are well placed to serve their needs.”

Manufacturers like Sony, Tivo, HiSense, Vestel and more rely on Vewd to bring streaming video apps to consumers. Working together, iVideoSmart and Vewd provide content owners a one-stop shop to get their app built, distributed, managed and monetized, fully based on revenue share.

“iVideoSmart launching more than 100 apps in less than 100 days shows just how keen the world’s most prominent content owners are to accelerate their distribution through the Vewd ecosystem, where our OEM and operator partners are hungry to add the latest content to their devices,” said Daniel Nordberg, SVP Partnerships, Vewd.

“Working together with iVideoSmart, we can enable content owners to take their videos and turn them into a monetized smart TV app in a snap.”
