The Russian national broadcaster CTC Media has signed an agreement for the transfer of rights to four of its shows to Amazon Prime Video.
In a statement, CTC Media says the shows in question – Molodeszhka, Psichologini, Londongrad and Paik – were first shown on its channel Che and that the agreement was negotiated with the company Ammo Content acting as an intermediary.
Commenting on the development, Vyacheslav Murugov, general director of CTC Media, said: “The fact that our popular TV shows will be broadcast on one of the leading international streaming services confirms that the TV industry in Russia is now actively developing. I am convinced that our TV projects will find thousands of new fans, and we will continue to cooperate with the largest video content services. ”
