The DTH platform nc+ has become the first TV service in Poland to offer the SVOD services Fox Play and National Geographic Play.
According to nc+, the two services, operated by Fox Networks Group, Europe and Africa, have been made available to its nc+ GO and nc+ GO TV customers since October 1.In the case of nc+ GO, the SVOD services can be received on smartphones, PCs and tablets, while the nc+ GO TV offers the services on TV sets with decoders. The services can also be received on Player + selected offers.
Commenting on the launch, Maciej Bral, general manager, Fox Networks Group CE, said: “As announced, we are implementing our strategy to introduce Fox and National Geographic brands into the SVOD segment. In cooperation with our partners, we provide viewers with the highest quality on demand services. We are happy that the Fox Play and National Geographic Play services will be made available in Poland in cooperation with nc +.”
Edyta Sadowska, VP programming at nc+, added: “We are pleased that as the first TV operator on the Polish market, we will provide our subscribers with the rich collections Fox Play and National Geographic Play, which they will be able to use on many devices. Our subscribers are increasingly watching their favourite TV series and programmes also outside regular viewing, which is why we constantly develop our on demand content”.
