Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has announced plans to relaunch the UK version of VH-1 as a lifestyle and general entertainment channel.
VIMN wants to reposition the music channel as a destination for unscripted shows. A similar format already runs in the United States.
From October 2 the new look channel – once known as Video Hits 1 – will premier series including Love and Hip Hop Miami, Black Ink Crew, Love & Hip Hop New York.

VH1 will be managed and programmed by the MTV UK brand team and is available on Sky 174 and Virgin 316.
