Hulu surpasses 1 million live TV subscribers

September 20, 2018 18.29 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Hulu has confirmed that it’s live streaming OTT service, Hulu with Live TV, has surpassed 1 million customers.

The service launched in May 2017, combining Hulu’s SVOD service with a virtual platform delivering more than 50 live broadcast and cable channels, all packaged for $40 for month.

“Hulu is growing faster than ever, so we’re evolving our brand to embrace the bold, rebel spirit and deep love for TV that has fueled our success,” said Hulu Chief Marketing Officer, Kelly Campbell.

On the heels of announcing it has surpassed one million Hulu with Live TV subscribers, Hulu unveiled the first ad from its new “Better Ruins Everything” national brand campaign, starring many of today’s biggest names in TV and sports.

The 60-second commercial features a celebrity cast that represents Hulu’s diverse offering of hit TV series and films, Hulu Originals and live sports.
