Digi Communications’ subsidiary Digi Spain Telecom has launched commercial fixed broadband and fixed telephony services in Spain.
They are being provided thanks to a wholesale indirect access agreement with Telefonica that allows the use of the latter’s broadband FTTH and ADSL infrastructure.
In the first phase, the services will be made available in the Community of Madrid, after which they will be expanded to other parts of the country in which Digi Spain Telecom already enjoys high penetration of its mobile services.
Digi Communications is the parent holding company of RCS&RDS, a leading provider of pay-TV and telco services in Romania and Hungary.
RCS&RDS also provides mobile services as an MVNO to Romanian communities living in Spain and Italy.
