German digital video technology provider castLabs has partnered with Belgian user interface designer Zappware to supply an end-to-end premium video delivery solution to Greek telecommunications operator Wind Hellas.
The solution is used for the TV service Wind Vision, the first in Greece with both Android TV and Netflix. The 4K-ready multiscreen platform combines DVB and OTT in a hybrid Android TV box, integrating third-party content from players such as Netflix and YouTube. It is also accessible on mobile devices and Android TV.
Wind Vision is based on Zappware’s cloud-based back office technology and user interface alongside castLabs’ Prestoplay video player SDKs and DRMtoday multi-DRM licensing service, a cloud-based solution supporting all leading DRM technologies. The license delivery network is built on AWS infrastructure.
