Insight TV app now available on TCL and LG smart TVs

August 28, 2018 12.08 Europe/London By Robert Briel

IFA 2018 BERLIN. Insight TV has created and launched an Android Smart TV app in partnership with TCL, and an Insight 4K App will also be available on LG’s webOS-based TVs starting September.

The new Insight TV Smart TV app is launched globally for Android 5 and higher TCL television sets. In addition, a 4k app was created by Accedo the Insight TV 4K App for LG’s webOS-based TVs, and is officially launching on August 31, at IFA 2018 in Berlin.

“On the heels of several key technology partnerships, we’re delighted to be publicising this very important project with TCL. The company has a strong and growing brand in the world of consumer TVs, and with the availability of the Insight TV Smart TV app, together we’re bringing globally trending, compelling content to consumers around the world in beautiful UHD HDR mode,” commented Graeme Stanley, COO, Insight TV.

“Technology partnerships are a fundamental aspect of our business moving forward and we’re delighted to reveal this latest announcement with LG Electronics. Working in close conjunction with consumer electronics manufacturers, we can create simple to navigate applications that provide access to the highest quality content,” says Natalie Boot, Director Digital, Insight TV.

“The big screen viewing experience for millennials is key and a recent Ampere Analysis Report highlights that Smart TVs have overtaken mobile phones for millennials viewing TV on a weekly basis. Since this demographic is our target audience, we will continue to cater to their requirements delivering unique Insight TV content based around trending global topics in UHD HDR, anytime, anywhere.”
