HBO will become available in the Baltic Republics on August 21.
According to the Latvian incumbent Lattelecom, the service will offer viewers a a wide range of popular and acclaimed titles including Game of Thrones, as well as brand new films and series. Moreover, in Latvia new series will be shown no later than 24 hours after their premieres in the US.
All series will be subtitled into Latvian, while some will have Latvian soundtracks. There will also be an audio track in Russian available for all content.
Lattelecom’s HBO series and movies will be featured in the Shortcut app, which is also available on Helio iTV and Interactive TV, while LMT will provide it on LMT Home Smart TV.
Commenting on the development, Herve Payan, chairman of the board of HBO Europe, said: “Thanks to the very successful cooperation with local partners, we are pleased to offer our extensive portfolio of content library and brand new HBO serials to our many fans of the high-end television programmes in Latvia, the Lattelecom and LMT platforms”.

HBO’s world-famous serials have been available only in TV channel programmes until now, and everyone will be able to watch them later. when and wherever it wants”.
In Estonia and Lithuania, HBO will be made exclusively available on the Telia’s offer, while in Latvia it will be on LMT and Lattelecom. In the Baltic States as a whole, HBO will be available on cable TV, interactive TV and mobile devices and smart TV.
