The Czech DTH and IPTV operator Digi TV will launch a further sports channel in time for the start of the upcoming football season.
Although the company already has three proprietary channels – Digi Sport 1 HD, Digi Sport 2 HD and Digi Sport 3 HD – it secured the rights to Italy’s Serie A and the English FA Cup earlier this month and no longer has enough capacity.
It will therefore add Digi Sport 4 HD to its line-up and Vladimir Rusnak, the company’s CEO, has hinted that more football-related news will be shortly announced.
Digi TV is operated by Digi CZ, which has been owned by the Czech investment group Lama Energy Group since 2015.
