Dutch cable operator Ziggo has launched all eight linear HD channels in its French language app on the Horizon Mediabox XL set-top box.
For some time now, Ziggo has been offering the French channels channels France 2, France 3, France 4, France 5, France Ô, Arte, France 24 and TV5Monde via the app, but has now started offering them in HD.
“With this step, the app is actually where we wanted to go: the best French channels in HD quality, available to all subscribers with a Mediabox XL,” said Raymond van der Vliet, Director Content.
The app is called TV Française and was developed by Metrological. Ziggo also offers an app with a number of linear Italian channels. called Italiana TV.
