Viacom International Media Networks (VIMN) has debuted its first mobile streaming app.
The Nick Play VOD mobile app will be available to Virgin Media customers that subscribe to the Nickelodeon channels. They’ll then have access to both full-length episodes and short form content. Including The Thundermans (pictured), Hunter Street, Henry Danger, SpongeBob SquarePants and Pig, Goat, Banana, Cricket.
Nick Play is part of Viacom’s wider suite of channel branded mobile applications for its core global brands, giving audiences direct access to a VOD content library and market-by-market short form originals.
“We’re excited to be providing Virgin Media customers with full access to the Nick Play app in the UK as part of a continued expansion of our branded apps strategy,” Arran Tindall, SVP, Commercial and Content Distribution, for Viacom International Media Networks commented. “The Nick Play app will give Virgin Media customers greater choice and control over what, when and where they experience their favourite Nickelodeon content.”

Nickelodeon remains the highest-rating commercial kids network in the UK, in 2017 achieving its highest share for 10 years.
