Further details have been made available about the upcoming ZKOS cable industry conference in the Slovenian town of Portoroz on June 6-8.
Organised by GIZ, a representative association of Slovene cable operators, it will include panel discussions entitled Future of linear TV: is linear TV dead? and Progress in the EU copyright law reform.
The former, moderated by Simon Sregel, member of the ZKOS GIZ managing board and secretary general of ZKOS GIZ, will see providers, operators and software developers asked how they intend to face the gigantic changes in the market that we have witnessed in the last seven years. Participants will also be asked their opinion on the challenges caused by the overwhelming competition of OTT applications, which do not pay for certain copyrights in some countries.
Meanwhile, the panel entitled Progress in the EU copyright law reform will be introduced and moderated by Dr Maja Bogatja Jancic, LL.M, Intellectual Property Institute.
There will also be a presentaion by Thoams Martin from Calix entitled It all starts with Managed Wi-Fi.
