VimpelCom has launched an updated version of the Russian online service Beeline TV.
Featuring a modern UI, it gives users access to over 200 TV channels, 42 of which are in HD. Furthermore, unlike previous versions it allows them to rent or buy new movies and movies in HD from major Hollywood and Russian studios, including Walt Disney Pictures, Paramount Pictures, 20th Century Fox, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Central Partnership, Volga, Bazelevs and Paradise.
The new version of Beeline TV is being initially made available to owners of Android smartphones and tablets. In the future, it will also be offered to owners of smart TVs (Samsung and LG), iOS smartphones and tablets and updated Beeline TV set-top boxes.
The service is available to any customer, irrespective of which operator they use. The Start package, which consists of 70 channels, is being offered free of charge for the first 14 days. The Basic package costs R150 (€2) a month, including VAT, while nine additional thematic packages cost from R149 a month each.
