Zoomin.TV comes to OTT enabling player Vewd

May 2, 2018 18.22 Europe/London By Robert Briel

Amsterdam-based Zoomin.TV announced that Vewd will make Zoomin.TV’s streaming video channels available for Vewd enabled devices.

The channels Zoomin TV and Zoomin Games are already available in the Vewd App Store, which can be found on a variety of connected TV devices from Sony, Samsung, HiSense, Tivo, and Vestel.

Zoomin.TV used Vewd Snap, the app creation and distribution tool, to build their apps. Each year almost 50 million Vewd enabled devices enter the market.

“Zoomin.TV’s content has enjoyed a tremendous response from viewers around the globe,” said Jan Riemens, CEO, Zoomin.TV.

“Today we’re expanding our reach through the largest connected TV ecosystem where our content can be found and enjoyed. With Vewd as our partner, we can focus on what we do best – creating groundbreaking stories for Gen Z – while leveraging the entire Vewd ecosystem to deliver and distribute our content.”

Zoomin.TV publishes more than 400 videos in 20+ languages daily, and collaborates with some 3,500 freelance video journalists.

“We’re on a mission to enable entertainment for everyone,” said Daniel Nordberg, SVP Partnerships, Vewd.

“We’re proud scaling partners of Zoomin.TV, taking on the technical complexity associated with building, maintaining and distributing OTT content on the world’s largest connected TV ecosystem. Now they can focus on what they do better than anyone – creating the stories that excite and inspire their already highly engaged audience.”
