A settlement has been reached between operator Free and the TF1 group of channels.
In a deal that reflects previous agreements amongst the French pay-TV platforms, Free customers will be able to view the MYTF1 catch-up service with extended broadcast windows; advanced previews of new TV shows; two new time-shifted channels, TF1+1 and TMC+1 that are slated to launch in September 2018.
There will also be special events in the 4K format.
Distribution of Breizh, Ushuaïa TV, Histoire and TFOU Max is also covered.
In recent months there has been a flurry of deals between TF1 and local operators, not always on good terms, as the broadcaster looks to expand its offer in return for higher fees.
