Viacom’s executive vice president managing director for VIMN UK, Northern and Eastern Europe says its Paramount+ VOD service launched in the Nordics last October could act as the template for future VOD services in other markets.
“I think the application of Paramount+ will vary from region to region. It’s worked in the Nordics, it’s a kind of a pilot project there, but I think that kind of bundling of our adult brands as Paramount+ is hopefully something that will be seen in other markets, James Currell told Cable Congress.
Paramount+ offers the first pay-TV window for new releases, alongside classic films and more than 800 episodes from Viacom-owned networks MTV and Comedy Central. It is available to premium subscribers of platforms in Denmark, Sweden and Norway.
