The French media regulator has expressed concerns over the current carriage fee stand-off between TF1 and Orange.
In a statement the CSA said it noted the information between broadcaster and distributor, adding it was ready to “support and facilitate” discussions in the interests of both viewers and companies concerned.
On Tuesday it emerged TF1 Group was seeking damages against Orange after the operator continued to distribute its channels, following the failure to reach an agreement on carriage fees.
TF1 has asked Orange to cease distribution of TF1, TMC, TFX (the former NT1), TF1 Films Series (ex HD1) and LCI. It’s looking to bring in an enhanced version of the MYTF1 catch-up service and the new TF1 Premium service.
