Valentin Jucan has resigned from Romania’s National Audiovisual Council (CNA), effective January 17.
Mediafax reports that his duties will be taken over by Mihail Marius Badea, who is currently an “alternative member” of the council.
Both Jucan and Badea were appointed to the CNA in a joint sitting of the Senate and Chamber of Deputies in February 2012.
Jucan cites personal projects as a reason why he has decided to vacate the position, which was due to end next month.
CNA is, along with ANCOM, one of the two main industry regulators in Romania.
It has 11 members and is currently headed by Laura Georgescu.
