Free New Years Eve satellite feed from Times Square

December 16, 2017 15.59 Europe/London By Robert Briel

The Times Square Alliance and Countdown Entertainment are again offering a free feed of Times Square New Year’s Eve content from New York City.

The co-organisers of the famous Ball Drop are once again offering HD satellite and fibre feeds of the celebration from Times Square, New York. The clean, uninterrupted feeds are available free of charge to domestic and international media organisations, and feature exclusive, panoramic views from more than 20 camera locations, highlighting the ambient and natural sounds of the revelers, the lighting and raising of the famous New Year’s Ball, hourly countdowns, musical entertainment and more.

Satellite coordinate/fibre feed information for the live, New Year’s Eve celebration on December 31 and downloadable pre-New Year’s Eve footage, featuring behind-the-scenes preparations for the festivities including this week’s Numeral Arrival, Crystal Installation on December 27, Confetti Test on December 29 and Ball Test and Balloon Preparation on December 30, is available online: http://bit.ly/2C77Hg9.

The event organisers have also partnered with Livestream once again to offer an international, six-hour webcast of the event. A host and several correspondents (TBA) will cover the action in Times Square, including the hourly countdowns, ball raising ceremony, stage performances and special guests. This webcast is being made available for media outlets, webmasters and bloggers to embed on their own websites.
