Spanish households receiving quintuple-play services spent just over €96 a month in the second quarter, or 15% more than a year earlier, according to the latest data published by the regulator CNMC.
This included not only the price of the package but also such services as unpacked post-paid mobile lines.
As of Q2, quintuple-play packages cost on average €79.1 a month and included on average 2.1 mobile lines, while a year they cost €68.7 a month and had 1.3 mobile lines.
Meanwhile, the expenditure for quadruple play services grew by 4% in the year to €67.8 a month in Q2. The actual cost of the package was €54.2 a month (+13%) and it included an average of 0.2 more postpaid mobile lines than a year earlier.
CNMC notes that in fixed broadband households FTTH is the fastest growing technology, serving 44% as of Q2.
It surpassed xDSL, which contracted by 11 percentage points in the year.
