Art Pictures Distribution (APD) has concluded what is probably the largest ever set of agreements between Russia’s TV industry and Hollywood majors.
According to Kommersant, it includes the purchase of the bulk of the Warner Bros library for an estimated $60 million.
APD has also signed agreements with MGM, Paramount and Sony Pictures, with the total amount invested being around $100 million.
In each case transactions have been concluded on a long-term basis, from one to several seasons.
APD is a 51/49 joint venture between Russia’s National Media Group (NMG) and CTC Media.
