Telefonica has again teamed up with Disney to launch a Movistar Disney channel on December 22.
The channel will offer movies and exclusive content on the operator’s Movistar+ pay-TV service in Spain.
The Movistar Disney channel will feature classic and new movies from the US studio and its subsidiaries Pixar and Marvel, including themed days such as a Disney Princesses day on December 24, and a Disney classics day on Christmas Day.
The new channel is available at no extra charge for all subscribers to the operator’s Movistar Cine package.
As part of the new agreement, a Movistar Star Wars pop-up channel will be active from December 1 to December 17, to coincide with the theatrical release of Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi. The channel will air the first movies of the franchise plus additional content.
