Heronim Ruta has resigned from the supervisory board of Poland’s Cyfrowy Polsat, effective November 30.
Local reports also say he has also decided to leave the supervisory board of Telewizja Polsat.
Ruta is a long-standing business partner of Zygmunt Solorz-Zak, the founder and owner of Polsat, having worked with him since the 1980s. He also is a shareholder in the company.
Cyfrowy Polsat is the leading provider of pay-TV services in Poland, operating a DTH platform of the same name.
It also operates the national commercial station Telewizja Polsat and a large number of thematic TV channels.
