Amazon has abandoned plans to launch an online streaming service that would have brought together popular US broadcast channels and cable networks.
Reuters, quoting people familiar with the matter, reports that the parcels to streaming service doesn’t think it can make enough money from such a platform.
It has so far failed to persuade the channels to move away from their tried and tested business model.
Video is an important part of its Amazon Prime proposition, though in Europe the channels offered to date aren’t always of the highest quality.
