German telco Deutsche Telekom has added further video and audio streaming partners to its zero-rating service StreamOn including OTT platform Eurosport Player offering Bundesliga live games.
The other new video streaming partners are France 24, Kividoo, PGA Tour, Toggo, Watchbox and YouTV, a Telekom spokesman told Broadband TV News.
The audio streaming line-up was expanded by Alternative FM, Bremen Eins, ByteFM, Die neue Welle, Die neue 107.7, egoFM, Radio Citybeat, Radio Ton, Rockland.fm, Stingray Music and 106.4 Top FM.
Deutsche Telekom introduced the controversial StreamOn tariff option in April 2017. Consumer protectors accuse the company of violating net neutrality and creating a two-class internet.
In its recent decision regarding StreamOn, federal network agency Bundesnetzagentur concluded that zero rating services are generally permitted, but details of the tariff infringe net neutrality and roaming rules.
